CCF Tea

Updated: Jan 16, 2021

Wean off coffee, support your digestion and detox with this unique beverage

At the height of my corporate career in marketing, I was drinking three to six cups of coffee and a low-carb energy drink in the afternoon to do it all. Needless to say, my adrenals got shot from pushing my body too much and without the right type of fuel. I didn't think going a day without coffee was possible between the energy boost, taste, and creativity it unlocked in me. Little did I know that once I was introduced to CCF Tea - short for cumin, coriander, and fennel - I could jump off the caffeine overdose bandwagon and start to reclaim my health.

One of the most shocking things to me after I successfully weaned off my beloved dark roast coffee was that I naturally had energy and creativity. I did not need caffeine to get in the zone; I most importantly needed balance, rest, and an attitude of curiosity to get there. I love the ritual of being immersed in the moment or project in front of me with a good drink. When my husband and I overhauled our gut microbiome with the help of a knowledgeable nutritionist, I learned about this tea. You can enjoy it as a latte or as a normal tea, so let your taste buds guide you for the perfect sip.

CCF Tea

1 teaspoon whole coriander seeds

1 teaspoon whole cumin seeds

1 teaspoon whole fennel seeds

1 quart hot water

Raw honey to taste

Almond or coconut milk to taste

Combine coriander, cumin, and fennel in a tea ball strainer. Place into pot or thermos of hot water and steep for up to 15 minutes. Remove tea ball and add honey and warmed almond/coconut milk to taste to make into a delicious latte. Make fresh daily to enjoy regular benefits.

The spices in CCF Tea are mildly sweet and savory, so know that this will not taste like lunch or dinner as a tea. Beyond being a smart substitute for coffee, CCF Tea has these incredible benefits according to Ayurvedic healing:

  • promotes mental clarity

  • balances blood sugar

  • soothes digestive issues

  • lessens PMS

  • modulates inflammation

  • stimulates lymphatic flow

  • relieves congestion and inflamed mucous membranes

  • supports elimination and detox

  • helps nursing moms with breastfeeding by promoting flow of milk

Sip throughout the day and savor the support that this hot drink gives you. To your health and clarity!
